For more than a decade I chose to step away from social media. I don’t live my life on feeds or algorithms — I live it here in our community. I am most myself when I am face-to-face with people, solving problems, and building something real.
This page is my digital home. A simple place for anyone who meets me and wants to know a little more.
I graduated from Flagler College with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Finance. My career began at Econometrica in Bethesda, Maryland, where I worked as a government analyst on grants and programs across the Departments of Transportation and Health.
After graduate studies and a family loss, I returned to Miami and joined Wells Fargo as a Business Banker, focusing on contracts and helping businesses grow. I later transferred to Boulder with Wells Fargo, then launched my own property management firm while continuing remote consulting work.
Today I focus on property maintenance and improvement in Boulder — work that lets me use both analytical skill and hands-on ability. I am comfortable in an office or on a job site, and I take pride in both.
I come from a family that knew both great height and sudden loss. My grandfather, Luis Manuel De Varona, served as Chief of Police in Havana. His brother Antonio (“Tony”) de Varona was a leading political figure in the final years of the Cuban Republic.

When everything changed, my father arrived in Miami as a nine-year-old boy. His father — once a high-ranking official — found work as a dishwasher. Watching that, my father went to work himself at a young age, helping however he could. My grandmother became a seamstress. From that experience the family carried forward a deep respect for hard work, resilience, and starting over with dignity.
That legacy is part of who I am.
I love this community — the nature, the culture, the music and art, the bike paths, and the sense that each day here is a blessing. The Flatirons are a constant reminder of why I choose to live and work in this place.
